Nationwide ‘Big Anti-Bullying Assembly’

On Monday 28th September, the school took part in the Nationwide ‘Big Anti-Bullying Assembly’. Pupils watched an online assembly that discussed the impact of bullying and how to address the issues associated with bullying. The assembly was led by a host of celebrities who were campaigning to ‘Raise their hand to end bullying’, including England manager Gareth Southgate and Anti-Bullying Ambassador Peter Andre. Children demonstrated their knowledge from a series of questions and discussion points which led to them pledging an end to bullying and to know what to do if bullying happens to them.

Speeches were prepared and the candidates stood outside in front of their electorate to make their pledges of office. After some fine, moving speeches the colour teams cast their vote. We are very proud as a school to present our new captains and vice-captains for the yar. They are looking forward to representing the school as a role model and ambassador.
