We were delighted to welcome a professional nutritionist, Grace, into school today to lead us in an assembly about eating well and the importance of a healthy, balanced diet.
Grace shared lots of information about which are the best food types for us to eat, so that we can help our bodies to grow healthily. We also shared with her how much we have learned through our lessons in school.
Following today, Grace, who works for Chartwells - the suppliers of our school lunches, will come back to work with classes to teach the children about the importance of good nutrition.

A very big 'thank you' for all of the very kind Harvest donations this year and for joining us for our special Service in Church.
Thank you to our wonderful new Worship Council for leading us in our Service and prayers.
Due to your generosity, we were able to help members of our community by donating dried, packaged and tinned food, and baby products, to the Women's Refuge, and all fresh produce to Homelink.
...love one another.

St. Werburgh's are delighted to share the exciting and humbling news that we have been voted by other schools to receive an award for our sporting behaviour!
The 'Most Sporting School' award for 2018-19 was voted for by all members of the Cheadle and District School Sports Association (CADSSA), and our lovely school were honoured to receive the most votes due to the children's attitude, behaviour and their desire to always thank opponents, teachers and officials at every event.
We are very proud of all of the children and parents who helped us to win this award and very grateful to those who selected us to receive it. THANK YOU!

We were delighted to welcome Craig and his friend - and mascot - Strider into school for an assembly to introduce us to a brand new scheme to promote walking to school and a healthy lifestyle.
The WOW Walk to School Challenge helps children to discuss with their parents the benefits of active travel and looks at more sustainable modes of travel to school. The focus of WOW is to get as many pupils as possible walking, cycling and scooting, with the remaining parking away from the school gates to complete a 'park and stride'. The result is less pollution and congestion around the school gates, less opportunity for accidents and fitter and healthier pupils. Children will record how they travel to school with rewards available for being more active.
