Each of the five sister schools within TMPF were delighted to join friends from Cheadle Primary School and participate in a basketball event staged by The Cheadle Academy (TCA).
Four boys and four girls took part in the celebration of sport, which began with a skills session and concluded with an exciting tournament.
Throughout the morning, every child had a chance to develop their understanding of the game and play competitively against one another. It was a great opportunity to make friends and try a new sport… whilst maybe beginning a journey towards the NBA!
The closely-fought event was eventually won by St. Werburgh’s C.E. (A) Primary. Congratulations to all who took part and to Mrs Evans and the wonderful Sports Leaders from TCA who led the event and doubled up as coaches.

We hope the shows made you feel proud, happy...and all Christmas-sy!

We were thrilled to welcome Stoke City FC into school to deliver a very special assembly.
All children were given the opportunity to buy tickets for an upcoming Championship match at a very discounted rate and sit with their friends in the new corner stand at the Bet365 Stadium.
Our wonderful Year 2 children received some hugely special gifts as part of the club's 'City 7s' scheme. Each child in Year 2 received a certificate, a bag, a free child and a free adult's match ticket and even a Stoke City shirt of their very own...courtesy of the club.
Thank you to our friends at Stoke City FC for their kindness!

Year 6 had a busy, fun-filled morning at Cheadle Fire Station, where they took part in lots of exciting workshops. The children learned all about fire safety and were given tips on how to keep themselves and others safe. As well as learning about fire safety, they also learned about road safety, mental health awareness, anti-social behaviour and how to perform CPR! The organisers, who were running the workshops, commented on how wonderful the children behaved and how knowledgeable they were.

Pupils from St. Werburgh's C.E. (A) Primary School were honoured to lay a wreath at the cenotaph in Kingsley as an act of remembrance to mark the centenary of the end of World War I.
Members of the School Council and the Chairs of the Worship Council and Eco Council joined Parishioners, Rev. Sue and Mr Lucas from the Royal British Legion to pay respect on behalf of the entire school family.
The children spent time reading the monument to find out more about those from the village who sadly lost their lives in war and looking at the beacon which was lit by the Kingsley community on Armistice Day/ Remembrance Sunday.
In school, the remainder of the pupils and staff gathered together to listen to World War I poetry, say a prayer and impeccably observe a minute's silence in remembrance.
We Will Remember Them.

The group of eight boys and girls from St. Werburgh’s visited Dovedale House in Ilam for the 24 hour retreat and worked with staff from the Diocese of Lichfield, including the wonderful Bishop Geoff, to explore how they could bring a sense of the wonder and awe of God into the worship which the Council will plan and lead in school.

St. Werburgh's C.E. (A) Primary School are proud to be part of a community display to commemorate the centenary of the end of World War I.
Through this special event, St. Werburgh's and all TMPF schools were kindly invited to work in partnership with other groups, schools and local businesses to place displays in shop windows in Cheadle High Street to mark our appreciation of the brave service men, women and animals who have fought for, and protected, their country.
On behalf of the TMPF family, we offer our thanks to all shops and community groups for making this such a special event and also to Boots for generously hosting the display created by the children and team at St. Werburgh's C.E. (A) Primary School which features an injured soldier and a nurse from World War I.
All commemorative displays will be in place until Monday 19th November.

Congratulations to the boys and girls who represented their school so wonderfully during the CADSSA football A League and B League events.
You showed exceptional sportsmanship (as always!), tackled well, passed well and all showed the importance of teamwork and football being played 'the right way!'.
We are all very proud of each of you.
