I have been very fortunate to have had a very varied and interesting career and life. I started my career on site as a qualified industrial Electrician working for my family business,I worked my way through the ranks to Director status and ultimately successfully negotiated the sale to an Aim listed company back in 2007.

 I stayed on with the company for 10 years as regional Director delivering many exciting and interesting water related projects basically ensuring the constant supply of water for five major Water companies in the UK.

 In June 2016 after over 30 years in the water Utility business I decided that I would retire and spend time with my family, take some well needed holidays and do everything that I never had time to do. I am married to my lovely wife Helena and have two fantastic children. As a family we enjoy the beautiful countryside that surrounds us by walking and biking and in the winter we like to go skiing.

 As a Trustee I feel I can utilise my experience in ensuring we have the safest and best schools whilst maintaining the highest standards.

I am a qualified Solicitor and have worked at Beswicks Legal since 1998. My particular area of expertise is representing youths and vulnerable clients.

I was a pupil myself at St. Werburgh's and my two sons both attended this school.

I am a season ticket holder at Stoke City and still enjoy playing football whenever I can.

My am married to Sarah and we both enjoy the countryside of the Staffordshire Moorlands, as a family we love to be out walking and camping as often as possible. In my role as Trustee I am a member of the Pupil Welfare, Learning and Achievement Committee and I am keen to promote sporting and outdoor activities for children across our Federation.

I’ve lived in Cheadle since 2014, relocating from Essex. I have two daughters, both of whom were previously pupils at Bishop Rawle C.E. Primary School. I’ve been a Trustee since 2017 and I have held various roles on the Trustee Board in that time, whilst always serving as the link Trustee to Bishop Rawle C.E. Primary School.

I’m a volunteer at the Cheadle & District Foodbank, and I run a consultancy business helping financial planners deal with tax and pension queries.

When I’m not doing any of that, I like walking with my dog, Max, and pretending to be a gardener.

I have lived in Kingsley for 17 years and have a son who attends St Werburgh's.

I have been actively involved in Girlguiding in this area during that time and am qualified to run all age groups from Rainbows up to Rangers. I ran the Guide unit for 12 years and took over as leader of the village Rainbows unit in September 2017.

I have been on the committee at Kingsley Kingfishers and Kingfishers of Dilhorne for five years, holding the role of chairman for the last three years, a position which ends in May 2021.

I have been a journalist for 24 years, working as a reporter, sub editor, editor, website editor, magazine writer and am now a commercial features writer for the Reach group.

In my spare time I like walking with my dog, eating out and spending time at our caravan in beautiful Cornwall.

I spent my childhood within the local area but moved to Kingsley around 7 years ago following the arrival of my first child. Having worked as a qualified teacher within Staffordshire for the last 18 years, I have a strong interest in all aspects of education. I am particularly interested in ensuring all children have a wide range of opportunities available to them, to allow them to excel and have successful futures.

I currently have the privilege of being Vice Principal of a secondary school within Newcastle under Lyme which is part of a small academy trust. My main responsibility lies within quality of education; however, I have previously enjoyed roles within pupil welfare and behaviour.

Outside of work I enjoy exercise and spending time with my immediate and extended family. I have two sons who attend St Werburgh’s in Kingsley.
