As part of our ongoing commitment to promote healthy and active lifestyles, we are delighted to share details of an exciting free event open to pupils in our lovely schools and beyond.
Funded by the Staffordshire Moorlands District council and organised and led by Accelerate Learning Services in partnership with the Schools Sports Partnership, James Bateman Junior High and South Moorlands Leisure centre, the event is for families and young people to discover what’s available to do in their local area, support and promote clubs and organisations and increase the number of people moving more every day.
This is a free event and open to all. There will be stalls providing information, activities to take part in, 'have a go sessions’ and more.
A range of local sporting clubs will be there to let you know how your child can become involved so they can learn new skills, make new friends and be more active.
SPORTS & ACTIVTY FAIR
12.00pm - 4.00pm, SATURDAY 3RD MAY, at SOUTH MOORLANDS LEISURE CENTRE (Cheadle)
At times, many families may experience challenging financial circumstances. Through The Moorlands Primary Federation’s positive relationship with the Foodbank service, we are delighted to share details of how their clients can now receive free and confidential financial advice.
The Moorlands Primary Federation are proud to support their local Foodbank and are proud that many of our schools act as referring agencies for this essential service within the communities which we serve.
To find out more information about the very important work of the Foodbank or to make an appointment to meet with the representative of Citizens Advice at the Foodbank, please visit https://cheadledistrict.foodbank.org.uk/, or call 07902 835158.
