Starting School…how exciting!
As a Trust, we warmly welcome visits to any of our schools as they are all quite different to one another. We fully appreciate the difficulty of the decision about which school to choose and are happy to answer any questions you may have.
St. Werburgh’s offer an annual Open Morning for parents to come along, see the school, chat to the staff and most importantly, meet some of the amazing children. Changing to one of our Primary Schools.
If you are looking to change primary schools and are considering one of the schools within The Moorlands Primary Federation (TMPF) Multi-Academy Trust, please contact us on 01538 702355. We are proud to work closely with other local schools and after discussions between all parties, if it is found that a move to one of our five schools is the best decision, we will always aim to make this as smooth as possible.

Heading off to High School!
Choosing the right Primary School isn’t the only school-application-decision you have to make - there comes a time when children begin Year 6 and parents have to do it all over again…but this time for High School!
The five Primary Schools within TMPF all have very strong links to local High Schools and a number of children have joined many of these of them over the past few years.
On a regular basis, we work very closely with The Cheadle Academy and children attend transition events here from Year 1 upwards! The Cheadle Academy are part of the South Moorlands Schools Learning Community (SMSLC) which comprises of each of the schools within our Trust, plus Cheadle Primary, St. John’s C.E. (A) Primary, and another secondary with whom we work closely and send a few children to each year – Moorside High School.
In addition to these two, we have very good links with Painsley Catholic College and a number of our children who want a Catholic education, join this school each year.
Over recent years, our Trust of schools have also sent children to Blythe Bridge High School, Denstone College, Thomas Alleyne’s High School and other State and Private High Schools both locally and further afield.
Whichever High School you choose will offer transition days and events, and here at The Moorlands Primary Federation, we will happily support your child’s attendance at these to ease their move to secondary education… wherever that may be.
